Letters to editor

Hi, we really enjoyed your article Shaving your private parts, not so bold move. We both shave and our swinger friends really love and appreciate it. We love the "feel naked" feeling it gives us. We do have a question though, what is nature's purpose of pubic hair anyway?

LifestyleVoice: Unfortunately pubic hair is one of those small things that evolution just hasn't caught up with yet. Most scientists agree that pubic hair, along with butt hair and underarm hair serves absolutely no purpose whatsoever except to repulse our fellow humans when they haven't been cleaned properly. But pubic hair did have a purpose eons ago, probably for our early ancestors, the Neanderthals. For them, having pubic hair was one of those secondary sex characteristics that developed as a visual signifier for potential mates, that they were ready to reproduce. The hair would trap their sexy musk (Pheromones) and seductive funk in order to attract the opposite sex. Pubic hair is a natural leftover from our prehistoric ancestors; they were hairy all over to keep themselves warm through the cold climate of the ice age.

Your article Sex toys for swingers: double your pleasure has stirred up my bi curiosities. I have always fantasized about playing with other women; I am ready to act. I am curious though, for a first timer like myself, what is the most popular thing to do when playing with a woman?

LifestyleVoice: As far as I know the manual hasn't been written yet that you can buy that will give you step by step procedures on what to do during a first female to female experience. But your first time with another female should be played by ear. Start out with touching, caressing and a lot of kissing. Women like to be touched and kissed everywhere, softly all over their bodies, head to toe. Although the touch of a man is arousing in itself, the touch of a woman is a whole other story. Think about it, women are always showing and telling men where to touch, how to touch, whether to go slower or when to go faster, what feels good and what doesn't feel good. Women already know what they want, they know what they like and how they like it. For all your experiences with another women, especially your first, just think about what you like, how you like it and do what comes naturally.

Your article on Tattoos really got under my skin. Just to let you know, I am neither a biker nor an ex-convict. I strongly disagree with your comment that only bikers and convicts have multiple tats. Did it ever occur to you that tattoos are a form of art and are also creative expression? I have twelve tattoos and to this day I have never had a problem with anyone I have met in the lifestyle. I think you were exacting your own personal opinion and you have put tattoos in a bad light.

LifestyleVoice: Perhaps you have taken the whole statement out of context. What the article stated was, "Bikers and prison convicts tend to sport multiple tats (as they are called by some), due to the culture behind them and what they represent. Some do it for the image, when others just love the art, and it's just a way of them expressing themselves." This is simply stating that bikers and convicts are also the most common among those who have tattoos; you'll note that the word "art" was also used in the same statement. I agree that tattoos are a form of art and are personal creative expression. However, you can't argue with the fact that some people do not like tattoos and find them a turn-off. Yet I've never actually heard of anybody listing "not having tattoos" as a turn-off. So, the point is: why narrow your potentials?
