Thank you so much for the article for newbies! It was very helpful. Do you recommend that newbies hook up with other newbies or experienced couples?

Sue and Ramon

LifestyleVoice: Consider this scenario -- You have just started a new job and your boss puts you with a person to train you that has only been on the job for one day. Would you agree that you would feel a little awkward? I sure would. Or you're on vacation on a cruise ship and there is no one available to show you your way around -- without proper assistance you would be lost. The blind leading the blind doesn't make much sense in any situation. Swinging is not complicated but you can avoid problems if you know the ropes. Hooking up with an experienced couple for your first time can help you with things like proper swinger etiquette. They can help you in your approach with a couple -- what to say, what not to say. They can give you pointers on dealing with aggressive behavior, they can tell you how to know if a couple is really a couple - there are a lot of people posing as couples on the Internet. I'm sure if you attend an event and the hosts know that you are newbies, they will 'take you under their wing' and show you around and give you some pointers too -- all you have to do is ask.

We see a couple named LaVonne and Chris a lot on this website. Who are they and what does it mean when they say they are a "spokes-couple"?

Tara and Mike

LifestyleVoice: LaVonne and Chris are a couple in their 30's who are in the swing lifestyle and a member of Baycouples.com website. They have been married for 4 years and have been involved with swinging for a little over a year. Last July, BayCouples.com decided to take a the online service a step further than other Internet portals by having a "spokes-couple." A post was placed in the Forum section of the website announcing that BayCouples.com was looking for a committed, married couple to be on the radio to do an interview to represent the site -- LaVonna and Chris saw the post and replied, from that point on the relationship with LaVonne and Chris and Baycouples.com flourished into an ongoing spokes-couple for the Lifestyle and the website. What is a "spokes-couple" and what do they do? A "spokes-couple" represents BayCouples.com and the swing lifestyle through radio and television interviews, by attending "open-minded" events such as The Exotic Erotic Ball, and offering discounts to members of Baycouples.com attending their Meet N Greet Parties. The objective is to educated and help open the eyes of mainstream America to swinging as an alternative to cheating and to show that swinging can and does help couples maintain a healthy sexual lifestyle and remain in the relationship and keep marriages together.

We read your article about videotaping us having sex and decided to go for it! Wow! What a thrill we got filming and then watching ourselves. Our question is where should we keep the tapes?

Betty and Bob

LifestyleVoice: Good for you! And good question! As stated in the article, you should, first of all, label all your tapes in such a manner that you will know that they are sex tapes. My husband and I put the date on ours. As for a place to keep them -- either find a 'safe place' in your bedroom, such as up deep in the corner of your closet or in a dresser drawer. Your best bet, of course, would be to keep them in a personal safe.
